The Mistons are more than just a classically perfect Portland punk band. Lead singer, Sean Croghan, is a bonafide legend.
In addition to fronting such iconic groups as Hellcows, Crackerbash, The Pynnacles, Ape Grave, and Jr. High, he is also a gifted abstract artist, producing sketches and paintings that capture all aspects of modern life, from the emotional to the absurd.
With their 2021 debut, World of Convenience, Groghan launched a new era with power punk trio, The Mistons. They are fury. They are fun. And they are very exciting to watch live.
In the past year, they have toured the west coast and played some of Portland’s most iconic venues, and recently released Brikka Brakka Firecracker on Nadine Records. (Give that a listen on Band Camp.)
If you’re lucky enough to be holding a ticket to their sold-out show with The Hold Steady on April 27th, you can catch them at Mississippi Studios, doors are at 7pm. And if you’re among the few that have missed them this month at The Fixin’ To, Dante’s, and Lollipop Shoppe, be sure to give them a follow to keep up with the action. The Mistons are the past, present, and future of music in Portland, Oregon.
