Salo Panto fired the opening shots at this year’s Lose Yr Mind Fest at The Get Down 9/8/23. Their latest album, Parallel Naratives, is one of very few I’ve repeatedly listened to front-to-back since its release in April of this year. Their soothing psychedelic vibes are reminiscent of early Pink Floyd and Sgt. Pepper’s-era Beatles with a modern twist, and Portland’s venerable producer, Cameron Spies, was a perfect complement to the project.
