Mattress is an artist unlike any other you’ll find in Portland or beyond. This ‘future lounge’ singer, also known as Rex Marshall and DJ El Dorado, put on a dazzling performance at Lollipop Shoppe during this year’s Lose Yr Mind Fest on Sept. 8th. It was a cult-like gathering, with a fire-lit backdrop complimenting the artist’s shimmering gold suit and sequined cape. The at-capacity crowd was completely enamored, and the show was a real crescendo to an action-packed night of music all around. Keep an eye out for future Mattress dates. He’s recently been on tour with Modest Mouse and played the Love Hiss album release show last night. Wherever he shows up, you’re bound to have a good time.
